Call for Proposals
Interested in leading a session at EmpowHerMent?
You are invited to submit a proposal for the 8th Annual Youth EmpowHerMent Conference. EmpowHerMent is a full day of empowerment, inspiration and encouragement for K-12 students. We are looking to fill 24 workshop sessions. Please let us know if you are willing to present more than once.
Presentations selected for EmpowHerMent2019 will include a variety of topics in several formats. To help you get started, review the conference strands and suggested topics.

Presentation Formats
To get started with your proposal, choose your presentation format from among our newly updated sections.
PowerTalk
[15 minutes in a 60-minute session]
Similar to TedTalks, in a Power Talk, individual presenters will have 15 minutes to share a story of how he/she is powerful and overcame an obstacle. It is an opportunity to simply inspire our participants and provide hope. Be ready to blow their minds with your 15 minutes of powerful motivation. PowerTalk Proposals require you to upload a 60 second preview video. Simply upload the video clip to YouTube and share the link in the application.
Workshops
[60 minute session]
Workshop presenters who will engage attendees in innovative ways, create highly interactive sessions, and provide opportunities for application and use of the information. Ideally, the format should be no more than 50% delivered information, with the rest of the session including interactive or hands-on engagement. Workshop rooms may hold up to 30 attendees. They may be set in a theatre arrangement or round-table format. Presenters may rearrange the room on-site. An LCD projector and screen will be available for use. Computers are provided. Wifi will be provided in all rooms.
Panel Discussion:
[30 minute session]
Panelist will join 5-6 others and speak to a group on a variety of topics. In the past, students have asked questions about real life issues. Panelist must be real, and willing to address issues students inquire about.
